Saradhi Welfare Association (SWA) is a Social, Cultural, Economic, Health, Educational, relief and rural/urban community development organization registered in Vizianagaram as a not-for-profit organization started in the year 2020.
We are committed to the Millennium development goals. Our vision is for Primary health care for Women, Differently Abled people, tribal, Orphan and Elder people. Our main Focus area is self-employment, Education, Economic development and sustainable livelihoods for women, divyang and Tribal.
With a prime objective of ‘Reaching the Unreached’ to provide healthcare to the underserved and the poor in the remote areas. Saradhi Welfare Association to serve the community it has been serving with renewed vigor and dedication. Saradhi Welfare Association is collaborating with Corporates to manage Health care, Education as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Visually Challenged girls accommodation
In north costal of andhra pradesh there is no enough higher educational fecilities for visually impaired. These kind of students are migrating to other cities due to lack of finacial support.
Saradhi Welfare Association committed to encourage young visually challenged girls to convert into Empowering their livies. We have taken as intiative to provide best quality education, in this process We approched to best colleges in city and grabed admissions in one of the best educational institution. We faced lot of challenges, because they are visually impared and finally we achieved.
We are running a very clean, hygienic and professionally managed high-quality hostel for the visually challenged girls with free boarding and lodging facilities from Dec 2020. It is situated at MIG-110, Vuda Colony Phase-3,Cantonment, Vizianagaram. We do not charge any payment from them and hence the girls can put their entire energy on going up higher with their education without financial burden, stress or guilt.
Our hostel facilities are a lifeline for 15 visually challenged girls for their entair duration of graducation. These girls come from most marginalized and poorest of the poor families, with little family support.
The hostel has been designed to provide our girls a comfortable and homely life, which includes personal beds, well-ventilated rooms and clean toilets. The infrastructure is designed to be appropriate for residents with visual impairment.
Computer training center for Visually Challenged girls
In the commercial and social scenario there is a wide scope of employment opportunities available for the partial and completely blind people in both government and private sectors.
One of the many fields where this visually impaired persons have proven their skills is handling computers. Saradhi Welfare Association establishing Computer training center that provide training to visually impaired girls. A special screen reading softwares like "JAWS" and "NVDA" are very few and situated in proper city and are incapable of serving to a large number of such people who reside away from the main city in the rural areas.
First time ever, the project will provide a chance to learn computers to literate blind girls to uplift their social status by increasing their technical literacy. It will give the blind of the rural area a time-saving and money-saving opportunity to become technically skilled. large number of educated blind to be computer literate and help them in seeking employment thus making their life comfortable and happy.
